德國四大鞭巨頭之一Destruction在 1987 年發行的經典 EP 《Mad Butcher》，是金屬史上一座不可磨滅的里程碑。這張作品不僅標誌著樂團陣容的擴張（由三人變為四人），更在音樂技術與錄音品質上實現了巨大的飛躍。專輯同名曲〈Mad Butcher〉原本收錄於首張作品，但在這張 EP 中，樂團以更精準、更瘋狂的吉他對位重新演繹。主唱 Schmier 標誌性的高分貝尖叫，搭配 Mike Sifringer 凌厲且充滿切分音的節奏，將那種瘋狂屠夫的獵奇恐怖氛圍推向極致。
